We founded the association because we saw a need for an organisation focused specifically on preventing and combating child poverty through leisure, cultural and recreational experiences, and on collecting and sharing related information. We also aim to expand our work and develop new solutions. Our activities include different forms of support for children and families with children affected by child poverty.
Equal Childhood seeks to improve and ease everyday life for families facing financial hardship, so that the children and young people in these families can have positive experiences during childhood. We hope that all children and young people in Finland will have increasingly equal opportunities for a good everyday life.
