About us

We are the three founders of the Jämlik Barndom association, with extensive experience working with children, families and early childhood education.

The association grew out of observations we encountered repeatedly in our work. We have seen that children’s opportunities to participate in culture and experience inclusion vary greatly. For some, it is a natural part of everyday life; for others, it is far more limited.

At the same time, we noticed that information and support for families is often fragmented, difficult to understand and sometimes inaccessible. We also wanted more bilingual environments and an organisation that works consistently for a more equal childhood.

That is why we founded the Jämlik Barndom association.

We believe in a society where every child, regardless of background or place of residence, can participate, express themselves and feel that they belong. Through our work, we want to promote more inclusive environments in early childhood education and society more broadly.
